Ultimate Kleemann MR100Z Ceramic Blow Bar

Category: Ceramic Blow Bars

Kleemann MR100Z Ceramic Blow Bar is also made of alloy steel casting but with high hardness industrial ceramics embedded,The hard ceramic sections provide excellent wear performance and increases wear life when blow bar works for crushing in impactor

Kleemann MR100Z Ceramic Blow Bar is recommended for secondary and tertiary crushing or recycling concretes and asphalt. Chrome ceramic blow bars are usually a good solution for secondary and tertiary crushing and martensitic ceramic blow bars for recycling concrete.

Why do we need to use ceramic blow bars?

Blow bars are normally made of the alloy steels including manganese steel, martensitic steel or chrome steel. The wear life of blow bars depends on the hardness of alloy steel made of. Due to the limit of mechanical property of alloy steel, it is too difficult to make it very hard but doesn’t break when receive the impact force meanwhile at a bearable cost.

As a crusher breaks rock, its blow bars are subjected to the abrasive forces and high-speed impacts of the rock. These bars wear quickly and require frequent replacement. This high cost of replacing blow bars not only results in spare parts costs, downtime, and labor costs, but also poses a potential risk of injury to workers. Therefore, crusher operators urgently need blow bars with longer lifespans.

Ceramic-Reinforced Blow Bars: Martensitic & High-Chromium Solutions

Ceramic-reinforced blow bars represent a significant advancement in aggregate crushing, offering superior performance and durability through Metal Matrix Composite (MMC) technology. This technology integrates highly wear-resistant ceramic inserts into a robust metal alloy matrix, dramatically extending service life and improving operational efficiency. We offer two primary solutions tailored for different applications, with the Kleemann MR100Z Ceramic Blow Bar being an outstanding example of this technology.

1. Martensitic Blow Bar with Ceramic Insert
Martensitic steel is a proven MMC solution, initially developed for recycling construction waste and successfully applied for many years with a high reputation in the market. By adding ceramic inserts to martensitic steel alloys, the service life of the blow bar can be extended by up to 80-150% compared to traditional single-metal blow bars. The outstanding wear resistance of the ceramic inserts enables customers to achieve longer crushing cycles.

2. Chrome Blow Bar with Ceramic Insert
High-chromium blow bars are mainly suitable for secondary and tertiary impact crushers and vertical shaft impact crushers. This solution combines the high wear resistance of ceramic compounds with high-chromium white cast iron, extending service life while maintaining the required physical parameters of the matrix. This MMC solution is based on a matrix with an initial hardness of 62 HRc and significant carbide content. In extremely abrasive materials and/or harsh working conditions, it helps customers achieve their main goals: increasing output and reducing production costs.

Featuring the Kleemann MR100Z Ceramic Blow Bar:
This model is a perfect application of the aforementioned MMC technology, with its design optimized for Kleemann series impact crushers. Field data confirms that the Kleemann MR100Z Ceramic Blow Bar can increase service life by 80% to over 100% under harsh operating conditions, while maintaining stable product gradation and effectively reducing the percentage of oversize material, delivering significant economic benefits to customers.

Key Features:

  • Dramatically Extended Lifetime: 80% to 150% increase, depending on the base alloy and application.

  • Reduced Operating Costs: Lower change-out frequency leads to reduced crusher maintenance and overall production costs.

  • Stable Performance: Maintains the original wear profile for consistent crusher operation.

  • Improved Productivity: Enables longer crushing cycles, helping to increase output and improve product gradation.
